Spring is in the air: this will resonate in the pieces that we will perform on the afternoon of April 7. You will hear the sun rise over the Grand Canyon ('Sunrise at Angles Gate’ - Philip Sparke), feel the dust over the cloudy plains of the US (Moments for Morricone) and experience the 16th century based story chase of the Witch and the Saint through the fog (Steven Reineke).
For the LHO this will be the first time in the Large Hall of the K&G building in J.C. de Rijpstraat 29, 2315 WE in Leiden. This will be a double concert: the Symphonic Wind Orchestra Excelsior from Pijnacker will join us and we will perform two pieces jointly: ‘Army of the Nile' en 'Moments for Morricone'.
Both orchestras are directed by Harry Tazelaar, who leads us orchestra since last December.
